Project Duke
What was supposed to be a simple drywall fix turned out to reveal many more issues with this project. Through years, and to no ones knowledge, the clients flat roof had begun to leak slowly, soaking into the insulation. Over time, water found an area it could seep out of the drywall, and that was the first hints of a problem. Upon first visit to look for the source of the leak so that we could patch the drywall, we cut a test hole and found a lot of water. Quickly jumping into action, we found the root of the issue, explained what had previously been done wrong with the flat roof, and created an action plan and fair budget for the client. We replaced the flat roof as quickly as we could and then started tackling the inside. All new insulation, drywall and paint were installed and the client has been extremely happy with the results. Since completing the original project, we have been back for multiple smaller projects, such as replacing shingles on a shed and back porch, trim fixes, painting, new flooring in a bedroom, exterior clean up in preparation for sale, and some other odds and ends projects.
